FACADE OPTIONS
For the facade concept we started from studying the historical gothic architecture.
We found three main compositional themes:
- The double steeple
- The rose window
- The splayed portal

We have tryed two different options for the design interpretation of this emelements.
In the first option we have worked on the traditional gothic geometry: The circle for the rose window and the ogival arch for the spayled portal.
This elements are engraved on a smooth marble surface.

In the second options we have used a more contemporary geometry to design the rose window and the spayled portal.
In this option we also chamfer the corners of the two steeples with diagonal vertical surfaces used to locate decorations and statues.

ICONOGRAPHIC THEMES
All the Church will be considered like the composition of two parts: all the the right side will be caracterized by images of latin saints and writings and the left side will be devoted to oriental and ortodox saints and cilillic writings.

The words of John Paul II has been a good inspiration for us: “Catholic and Ortodox are just like two lungs for the breath of the Universal Church”.

This concept is also the laitmotif for the entire decoration theme.
